There are several different ways of cleaning a roof and the best way will depend on the condition of the roof and mainly the type of tile the roof is made up of.
If the roof tiles have a sandy face rather than a smooth face then it could be better to scrape the moss and softwash the roof rather than pressure wash it. This is because pressure washing sandy faced tiles can lead to removing the surface of the tile which is often coloured leaving the remaining tile more porous and more susceptible to holding water which will mean the tile is more likely to be hit with organic growth in the future.
